She's a twitchy little bird! Useful at low level, and packing a punch. Got shot down by one of these more than once already....She looks good though, which almost makes up for the horrific crime of cutting the lovely curvy Spit wings off short! IP: Logged |

I'm pretty sure I've seen a screenshot of that. I'd be happy to supply the skin by the way... I've got a skin for Vidge Gleed's Spit Vc, It's in Desert camo but it still didn't have the vokes filter...

As I recall, the one I saw had the later more pointed spinner, but I could be wrong.

Glad ya'll are enjoying it. I can't recall whose skin that is I used tho, and I should've made sure to credit it in the model.  Got it from the Hangar I think...I'm pretty sure someone (Pachy?) was working on a French Mk XII that had clipped wings and a pointy spinner (with no Vokes filter). Hmmm. Pretty easy to do one without it, but the next Spit I plan on finishing is the bubble-top Mk 14. Got a couple other things to do before that one tho...

 This is a Spit MkXVIe I was working on, with clipped wings, real "E" loadout, fixed cannon positions, realistic exhausts, little things like that. It was supposed to be a one-weekend project but I failed (it had lockup problems). So I had decided to rebuild using the Vb as a base instead of the IX but the Dewoitine took #1 priority. I still have the LODs somewhere if someone's interested. Or I may complete it later, but since we have a MkIX, the XVI does not add much. Enhancing the IX's 3D model would be a better idea IMHO. Seems everyone is posting spits. Ok, my turn..  I also fixed the shading problem on the right side of the spit. If you would like it fixed also, it's an easy fix.
