I used to have the game set up so that F2 puts the point of view directly behind the plane. I can't get that any more.I went to sdemons.ini and put "= 1" in the "put slew view behind plane" - approximate wording only - at work - but this appears not to be working ... is there anything else I need to do - set distances, x,y,z co-ordinates?? Sigh ... Thanks MW IP: Logged |

Not sure how to set it up in config. files if that's your question; however, I do know that you can reset your external view (or internal for that matter) with [shift + numpad5].Hope this helps IP: Logged |

The external view F2 isn't affected by the slew view functions. Slew view is activated offline by pressing s It's kind of an exploration view without the need for a plane. You can cover a lot of distance quickly. IP: Logged |

F2 is the external view key. It has 3 modifiers to the view by hitting the 5 on your numberpad 3 separate times. In the first view for this the plane is not attached to the camera. In the second press of 5, the view is attached to the airplane's YAW, and in the 3rd press of 5 key the camera's pitch and roll are attached to whatever the airplane is doing and of course in all these views you can adjust zoom and panning.F3 puts you in the follow view, a favorite of mine. To put SLEW behind airplane, what you did with your ini file is correct, however after you hit the S key for slew (or is it alt-S?) you WILL be behind your airplane, only you have to turn 90 degrees to your right to see your airplane (at least that's how it works for me). If you don't have "start slew behind airplane" in your ini file then when you enter slew mode you are placed WAY far away from your plane. Hope that helps.
