Yes, it was to discourage low altitude flying to make sure the enemy planes flew high enough for AAA to get them.

I just posted the barrage balloons on my site.. they have switchin lod's and i managed to get the cables to cause damage to planes flying through them. It comes with a test mission with 9 barrage balloons over a target it really adds atmosphere.

Ships carried them too..

For any port attack missions these will be great too. Ports used them to try and make it difficult for dive bombers to line up on docked ships (It'd make a cool Stuka mission!)

Anyone want to knock up a quick barge, so we can tether a few of these to it?

Just the job for port defences!

Downloaded it , and just can't wait to give it a try. Do they burn when you hit em?
