Topic: What planes used Fire Suppression?

Finally got this working. What planes had a Fire Suppression system to put out engine fires? I think most big multi-engine planes did.I'll post a "how to" in the tech section in a day or two, along with my trusty test plane (Mustang of course) I know the Mustang did not have Fire Suppression, I just used it to try it out. This is a striped down version with only test stuff on it. Improved aileron damage, flat tires, brake failure, etc. IP: Logged |

The Lanc, Mossie, P-38, B-17, and a host of other planes had fire extinguishers.IP: Logged |

I assume (dangerously ) that this work is applicable to non-engine fires. Is this accurate? (I believe) that there are WW2 aircraft that have fire suppression equipment to protect non-engine areas/systems.WB IP: Logged |

Well, it's posted in the Tech Section.  Wiley Baggins, yes this can be added to any part of the plane. Snickers, you are in a plane that can land on water, why would you worry about fire.
