I know this is away off topic but one of you guys may be able to help. How do you take screenshots from a software DVD player? I have tried pausing the film, using printscreen or Hypersnap, but when I go to open them in Paintshop Pro 7 all I have is a windowed link to the DVD player i.e. if I press play in WinDVD, the captured image in PSP7 shows the movie running.

I know it is possible to take screenshots from a DVD but I'm at a loss on how to do it.

I have hardware DVD decoder that has a screen shot button. I am not sure how you would do that on a software version. Is it a menu option or button on the control bar?

Thanks Wirlwind. I'd been pulling my hair out over this for about a week. There is nothing in the WinDVD documentation about screen captures but I went to their site and found out about it in the on-line FAQ.
