Hi. It's very sad. I had to reinstall the game a few days ago. I've tried to reinstall the Jug, but now it doesn't work. I've unzipped it several times, deleted it several times and it just refuses to work. It worked fine after the first download. What have I done? It's too much fun to be without.

Check the readme and Im sure it will tell you that you need to add either something to the startup.ppf file or rename one of the cockpits.

Thanks. read the read.me. It just says unzip and change the cockpit if you have a fast mavhine. Like I say, it worked nicely when I first put it on but after the reinstall it refuses to run. I wonder if it wants something I didn't put back. The plane pack is way too big to download over a modem. Eventually though.

Sunray - what kind of modem do you have? I've got a 56k and it worked fine off of one of the mirrors.

Sunray, I agree with you, regardless of getting a good connection, over a modem this is far far to big, and if I remember rightly we had a rather large discussion about this when spin said he'd make the pack.. it did get a lil heated.. dunno who started the thread though http://www.fightersquadron.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002961.html

Sunray, Look in your Fighter Squadron main directory, open the startup.ppf using Notepad. Be sure the following lines are in there. If not add them.

"aircraft/airfoils/SEVERSKY.sm"
"aircraft/airfoils/SEVERSKY.ppf"

As for the plane pack. I also have a 56K modem. I did use GetRight. This is a program that lets you resume downloads if they are interupted, but it downloaded without interuption.

I started the download before I went to bed, and it was done when I got up in the morning. No problem

I also had to modem it. I use GoZilla, which is the same sort of thing as get-right, and just downloaded it over several days. Whenever I was online, it was chugging away. Nations 2 was got the same way!

The craziest thing I ever downloaded was Steel Panthers World at War. If you thought PP6 was big, SPWAW was 300meg.....took me over a week! Hardly got any phone calls that week......
