TeamPBY -
PBY-5A
1st Level Lods done. 2nd level LODs done (ready to be imported)
FM is good enough for Beta 1 (though I haven't tried it with the AI yet...)
DM comes after Beta1. Most loadouts are on the plane. Floats extend and retract...

At about roughly 47.329% complete (Roughly)

Iīm still working on the J21, but only now and then, and there is still pretty much work to do (I must be the slowest builder around here...).
I have also just started modeling a Me163B Komet in Max, mostly for fun and because itīs such a wonderful plane. Havenīt really decided wheter Iīll try to make in OPS aswell yet. Perhaps just as a static object, the Komet in the game right now lacks some detail IMHO...

1. Abbeville Field (ongoing)
a) Adding more useful content (see #2)
b) Reworking navigation and graphics
c) Developping LUFTnet
2. Project W.A.M. (phase 1 of 3 complete)
3. Coordinating Nations V3 (Greece, Poland, Canada)
4. T34 when Pete sends fixed mesh back to me. (even then it'll be a while)

Drawing Board (may do these, may not)
- Katyusha Rocket Launcher equipped truck
- Desert (a la LRDG) Jeep (would need help with 3D mesh, DOFs and adding other goodies, but man this would rock: I have a huge list of sweet and do-able features)
- Redo villages and perhaps bunkers on Calais side of Channel (would need help with 3d meshes, I'll do DM, artwork and general design though)

Ah...the semi annual 'why the hell did I start all these projects' list....

Well....

B17 update.......no% I don't know how far I'm going with it!!!!..Status...ongoin

B24....model built, flown in game with Lanc FM....needs detail & interior

TBM Avenger....flown in game with Dauntless FM, lots still to do....status-on hold

BV170 triple engine thing....model built...looks wild, flies like a housebrick!....status-on hold due to real life!

PTO airfields....extensive tree planting and building swap ongoing. Switch to plan B after initial trees looked..er...nothing like trees!...status...top of current to-do list

Camel re-vamp...as argonV said, we are changing the DM n this bird, with the intention of expanding to cover some other WW1 birds if all goes well. I will post a sceenshot later of progress, and reveal all (well, the project anyway!)

Midway....still hanging around somewhere is my waterworld terrain, with a few atols and an AI usable carrier. Problems with takeoff's mean I can't make it to the correct scale, but it looks good enough now!...status....seeing occaisonal work!

Project PBY....with the 2nd level LODs built for Snickers, my work on this one is pretty much done. Some low detail stuff to do, but the project will probably hit Beta1 before that is needed. Status....sitting back, putting feet up, enjoying swoopy glide experience of flying the PBY!!!!!

p.s.
If anyone feels they could write a basic FM tutorial, or if SV has the time to finish his one off, then I may get some more projects rolling towards completion!

p.p.s.

De to unforeseen real life, the TBM and BV170 models could be made available to anyone who can make them fly! I need to rationalise my work schedule!

Making missions for the PBY.

Helping out anyone else who needs it in this respect.

As some of you've seen my recent post, this is a flyable version of the mig. It lacks certain essentials still (cockpit, for example ), so I'd say it's 25% complete.

I've been really digging into airfoils this past week and I'm getting a handle on it. The big thing is finding the proper Reynolds number for FS, then shoehorning it all into an existing .sm file, since my meager tools won't let me do 360 degrees.

I'm currently working on the Se5a, Albatros, and airfoils for many WWI airplanes. If anyone has need of a custom airfoil, gimme a hollar.

Hey glad to see sooo many projects on the horizon! I just hope the ones already out get done/fixed as well.

Jedi, Im VERY happy to see Corsair progress and Dauntless progress (I know somethings about that too ) I REALLY appriciate you finishing up your already released planes. THANKS!

ALadar, Ive tried your new Barracuda... SIMPLY FRIGGIN AWESOME! I hope those airbrake DOFs are squared away by someone tho. They are a PAIN IN THE ARSE! I gave up after an hour screwing with them. Right now I sorta fixed the right airbrake so it has the DOF the same as the left one. They are STILL off but not as bad. (The copy I sent you didnt have the right air brake fixed)

Diego, your terrain is simply beautifull! Is it a completely new terrain? Or a renamed/repainted/tweaked terrain? Either way it kicks arse!

Pang, when me and wakeup tailgunner have the Camel in its final stages, could you take a look at the FM? Right now it has your Camel FM but it could use some tweaking still. But thats a ways off...

li'l bastard, I hope to see some of those Italian fighters you speak of in the future. I would kiss your feet and feed you grapes all day if you produced an Italian fighter for SDOE!

Werner, what exactly is project W.A.M.? I also hope you get the gist of Openplane and 3d modeling. We could use someone with ambition and talent such as yours.

Robert, I was wondering what happened to the J21. That fighter looked sweet and I hope to see it oneday! Exactly what needs to be done still? If its anything to do with OPS I could take a look at it for you. I can do many things with OPS except the FM. (I also cant do 3d modeling)

Snickers, on your latest PBY, I noticed the floats. To me they appear a bit big (The strut part of the pontoon) They clip thru where the aileron is. Just a suggestion. This project is kicking arse aswell! It will be sooooo much fun torpedoing and spotting fleets with her!

Sv, please continue your WWI work. SDOE WWI is looking for a morale booster BIG time! Hopefully wakeup tailgunners work and your work will give it just that.

Mposis...... are you out there? How goes the Val?

Keep it up guys!!!! SDOE shall thrive!

Argon - gee, thanks man! *blush* Project WAM is a name I came up with while working on said project in the wee hours one morning. It is an acronym, if you can guess it... we'll you're awesome and should go into mind-reading and all that. It's nothing earth-shattering or even flyable, so don't get too excited because you'll be let down, it's something of a revitalization project, and a sort of quasi-tribute. Well anyways I've probably said more than I should, so that's it! I'm hoping it'll be done by Christmas, or even sooner.

ArgonV!

About the J21, there is still a lot to be done on it, LOD-modelling, mapping, DM and FM.The thing is I donīt follow any plan on it , I just work on it now and then, changing some but not taking any giant leaps.
I will send you a copy of it though so you can try it out, itīs totally flyable and so, but I donīt know if it flies like the real thing...(probably not )

Let me know what you think.

Thanks/Robert

The D.520 is progressing slowly, but still progressing.

This pic shows the new gear, new Ratier prop, and the new antennas. It does not show the first working instruments, neither than the DOF problems

The Tempest still somewhere on my disk, but at the present time i'm not working on it.

Real Project Information:

Ki-61: Cockpit, FM, DM, Finish tweaking the model, 2nd level LODs almost started.
B-25: On hold.
P-39: Lower LODs in the works, major FM work needed, cockpit needs everything.
Side Project 1: FM tweaking start, DM almost done, Model tweaking almost done.
Side Project 2: FM tweaking start, DM almost done, Model tweaking almost done.
Side Project 3(Revealed!): FM tweaking start, DM almost done, Model tweaking finished.
Side Project 4: Model almost done, FM needs work, DM needs work.
Side Project 5: Model almost finished, will be moving to the game soon.
Side Project 6: Just picked up, looking over this project for est. release date.

Project 3 revealed!

Presenting the A6M3 clipped wing Zero.

This is an old image so don't think the wings in the image is the wings in the release version. Completely new wings have been made and are almost in game.

Condor is helping with the engine damage and it's turning out pretty cool. FM has been tweaked to add fuel tanks and other small things. The cockpit has been updated with new more realistic guns and they also shake when your firing them.

Other projects are still Top Secret, makes it more fun when i post pics.
