Hey guys.

I have compiled a list of files (adding daily) which I am 'giving away' on a CD. All I ask is that you pay for the Cd and shipping costs.

The cost is $2 per cd, and anywhere from $5-10 shipping (depending on the method). You can determine the method.

Reason why I am doing this is because a lot of you out there have modems and having a single CD would make life a lot easier if you had to re-install FS.

Here is what I have compiled so far:

  • FSPatch 1.5
  • PlanePack 6
  • World War I Pack
  • Nations V2
  • GT's Loader
  • Ultra Cockpits - Spit's and P-38
  • Terrains - Rhineland, Pacific, and Island
  • DMC V1.2
  • GroundCrew
  • SDOE Beeper
  • SDOE Control 2000
  • SDOE Hotlist V1.4
  • Meatwater SoundPack Rolling Thunder
  • Stereo Engine Sounds for: B-17, Beaufighter, BF109 Stero Engine Start, Corsair, FW-190a, Hurricane, Jumo's, Lanc, Me-109, Me-262, Mossie, P38J, P51, Stuka, Typhoon, and Zero
  • Harman_5's Soundpack V1
  • Gunjam's Sounds
  • Liberty Ship
  • Missions - B17 Campaign, Desert Fox Beta1, Jeeve's Dover Campaign, Jeeve's Africa Campaign, Jeeve's Rhineland, Maximum Effort, Mission Pack V0.99, Scramble1, Spydersmissions
  • F86fbeta3
  • FW 190 A5-U13
  • FW 190 F8
  • FW 198 A6-R15
  • A-10 Beta2
  • Harrier Beta 3
  • A-4 Beta 2
  • Manchester
  • Mockmig
  • Panzer 2.11
  • PZL11C
  • Torpedoes V2
  • Nat's ships including the Troop, cargo, Yamato, Hood, Teruzuki, Zuikaku, Ark Royal, Damaged Carrier, Akizuki, and Scharnhorst
  • Snowy Dover
  • SDOP beta

If any of the following units are included in Plane Pack V6, can you reply here letting me know so I can remove them.

If you know of anything I should be including, please reply here with the URL of the file to add.

Sincerely,

Spoon

For those of you living in Canada, I can mail them out COD upon request. The charge is $6 CAD for Canada Post's COD charge + stamps.

Wow! I was thinking about this no more than 10 minutes ago!

What a great service!

If no one objects to the idea, I would recommend you charge a few dollars more for your time. This will help compensate you for when things go wrong.

Oh, I should add. Even if there is a legal problem, simply keep it under wraps. No-one is going to spend time or money sending cease/desist letters to ensure you don't do this- keeping in mind the _vast_ amounts of cash you'll bring in.

AWSOME idea spoon! This should have been done A LONG time ago. If I didn't have ADSL, I would get a copy from you

A few suggestions though (if you want them). Maybe wait untill the new B-17 is released.... if it will be a big D/L. And, are you just keeping it WWI/WWII, cause if you have room, the A-10 and the harrier would be a nice addition to the CD.....Again, suggestions, IF you want them

Also go ahead and get all the terrains out there... especially somme... I am interested in starting to get some online stuff setup with somme, so I would like to see that on there.. also some ww1 missions are out there.. great terrain.. beyond that looks great.... and I don't think there is any legal stuff to worry about, nothing thats isn't freely available online is on it.. and the price is good... ;}

Wow-- I made it onto a CD Sweet...LOL! Spoon-- if these plane packs continuw to grow in size, I will definitely take you up on it...but thankfully- I have GetRight and am at 54% right now. As awesome as it is to live in the country, it sucks not having DSL available to you!

I have DSL and it would still be worth having everything on a CD. It saves having to hunt for everything (unless you keep the zips on your HD which I don't). It would also tempt me to do a complete reinstall and clean out a bunch of garbage files. It also makes recommending SDOE to a friend easier if you can loan him your CD rather than tell him all the downloads he needs.

Where do I sign up?

I have pretty much all the mods and new planes on my hard drive, organized in different directories.
I'm planning on burning a CD with all the goodies too. I think this is a wonderful idea and it's something Spoonman has been tossing around for some time.

Go for it, Spoon!

The J88DN (summer skin) version is in the pack.

The mission pack v0.99 is quite outdated. It was an idea I had a long time ago that didn't seem to reduce mission transfers much. I would leave it out.

After finding Nat's site, I have also added Snowy Dover, and SDOP beta, however, apart from the Rhineland Winter and the Pacific beta terrains, all other links to other terrains are broken If you know of any more working links for more terrains, post them here.

I have also added the A-10 beta, Harrier Beta 3, and the latest A-4 beta. Plus, Nat's ships, and various ground objects such as tanks, and refuelling Stuka to name a few.

I have removed the Ju-88DN (thanks Spin) however I will leave the mission pack in for those who don't have any online missions (any helps).

Maybe I should convert the ships, ground objects, and stereo sounds into another update pack in a single parfile (another topic for discussion)?

The CD's however, are now ready for shipping. If you want yours, simply email me eddyvonreddy@hotmail.com and I'll give you a simple shipping quote.

Spoonman, is it possible to install selectively from the disk? I have most of what's on that list already, but the terrains for example I don't have, and downloading is a pain. If yes, then please bring a disk with you to our get together and I'll buy you a drink. Deal?

It sure is. I haven't created an install program yet, but that may be an idea. I was thinking about it - select the items you wish to install, but that would take a bit of work.

I have it all segmented by different types of terrains, aircrafts and ground units, sound packs/updates, missions, campaigns, utilities, and now - all new aircraft skins.

Send me an email to eddyvonreddy@hotmail.com with your address, and I'll let you know how much it costs.

For those of you in the US, it costs $8USD AIR, in Canada, $8 CAD, but I'm not sure about overseas - depends where you are.

Spoon.

How about the 'catapult' planes and those modded hurricanes? Isn't there a WWI terrain as well or is that in the WWI pack?

I do believe I captured every available download out there, INCLUDING all wwII terrains. As for the WWI terrain, I wasn't able to find it.

I have added the new Hurricane models, and the new Pacific terrain.

If anyone knows where that WWI terrain is, can you email me or post here?

The Catapult planes are in PP6 I do believe.
