It's not supposed to matter but the SimFiles site recommends Nations first, PP6 second.IP: Logged |

Plane Pack 6 and Nations v2 have no files in common so you can install them in any order.------------------ William Gall http://www.simfiles.com IP: Logged |

d0gmA,Don't mean to question you're information, but are you _absolutely_ sure the pp6 and nations don't share anything? For instance, I set up a mission a couple of days ago that involved the 43rd guard VVS russian squad. Well, when we tried to use the mission, some of the players would crash out. After that we did some more testing and found the only thing different between the players that crashed and the players that didn't was install order (those that installed nations before pp6 could use the mission just fine). I haven't had time to dig deeper into this phenomenon, but common files between nations and pp6 was going to be my first area to check (It'd be really nice to be able to use the correct country squad names ). If you know for a fact they're not sharing anything, well then you've saved me some time. IP: Logged |

Gustang I was one of the one who crashed out. I have since re-installed with Nations first, then PP6. If I see you online we can test.E IP: Logged |

Call me thick - "Thick!!" I hear you call - but how do I get the best out of Nations 2 pack.Do I have to create new missions with planes from the "new" nations or can I use the old missions and just make the pilot an Australian, for instance. Certainly just doing the latter does not appear to work for my current install - PP6 and Nations 2 - e.g. Jeeves missions with an Australian pilot still has a lot of beautiful British accents and not one mention of a Blue Gum. Thanks. [This message has been edited by Mark_Walsh (edited 11-20-2000).] IP: Logged |

If your install is OK, the best way to get one of the new squads in the game is to open up any mission- be it a hanger, training, or regular game mission and click on one of the planes in the mission-- then change the squadron to one that is part of the Nation you want to fly-- then save it and play it in the game...before you know it--- you will be starting up your engine, slapping on a billabong, and waltzing Matilda until the sun goes down ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless! Jeeves, don't be so modest! You know AGAS did more than that for Nations: Australia -With his add-on you can chew "blue" gum, jump on mattresses, eat pancakes while sauntering down to a rodeo, attend a circus in orbit, then when you're done, tallyho back to your liner. AGAS, I don't think you're ever going to hear the end of this one. LMAO Werner ------------------ Visit Abbeville Field Today! Esox,Thanks. Also, I'd be interested to know if the mission works on your own vs online. If you get a chance offline, try setting up a multiplay game using the TCP/LAN setting and see if you still crash out with it (both squads one at a time). The mission title is 'Axis Retreat! bf109e (x) vs Yak3 (y)- (x+y)' Cya soon, Gus IP: Logged |

Gustang, I am positive there is nothing in common between nations and PP6 as far as instlled files goes. I am not sure whats in par files thats common but that wouldn't matter as the pp6 pars are higher numbered anyway.------------------ William Gall http://www.simfiles.com IP: Logged |
