Gents,

The new 51D 3D model is great! Actually seeing exhaust tubes for that Merlin really makes it a total model.

However, does anyone know where the tubes themselves are located on the .tif file? I have found the 'base plate' of them and have got it colored (still a work in progress), but I have searched ALL over the .tif and can't find the actual tubes. Does anyone have an idea where they could be? Maybe the designer? Thanks for your help.

The texture for the pipes might not be on the tif for the plane's skin. You may have to look in the .par or .sm file to get the image name... or just talk to the person that updated the 51.

Hi Gambler, welcome to SDOE. Actually, Zoycite did the great new skins and mapping. However, the map for the exhaust pipes are in his P51D.tif and it is in the par file. I will send the new skins over to Razer to post at the FSHangar.

A couple of things I hoped to do is first remap the pipe texture to a different tif. The other thing is to close the back of the pipes so they look black when you look inside them.
