You know, I actually would request this get pulled. Not something I would like to have a newbie see and wonder if we actually think like this.
BTW, it isn't the subject, it was Stephen. I am sure we are all interested in the subject, but the first reply is something that I think should be pulled.....

I doubt that any new Fighter Squadron will be attempted by Activision. But, almost weekly we have a new Fighter Squadron thanks to the guys that work the long hours to improve and renew this sim.------------------

Werner, nope, that's a another animal entirely. Although it makes sense to think it will have new features and all, but that won't stop Inertia from potentially doing an SDOE2 as well. So really we could have a couple new sims coming. It depends on what Inertia decides to do next.IP: Logged |

Pete - That was meant somewhat tongue in cheek. I realize it's a different company licensing the OP engine, but in all reality I don't see Inertia doing FS2. I can't really explain why, I just think that it isn't going to happen, so by proxy that would make Stormbirds a sort of sequel, since many features will be improved (bigger maps I hear, for one) and in theory all our work here can be imported.WM ------------------

Whether or not Inertia Games does a sequel (and I hope they do...)is beside the point. Hey you guys making Stormbirds... Can you make it so the PBY (or any other sea or float plane) can land on water?????????? Who holds the rights to the OpenPlane Engine? ------------------

Mud,I was not commenting on your thread being lame. I read it because I was interested in the response you may have gotten and thought the response (ie, the joke) was lame as it didnt make me laugh or seem appropriate on this board. As the poster has removed it , the matter has resolved itself and is forgotten.I actually tried to delete my comment after I posted it, but only administrators or the poster can delete posts from threads so I just left it as it was. I was just curious to see if anyone had information on a future release. I was under the impression that ParSoft and Activision would no longer be involved with this sim.
One of the more interesting and appealing aspect of this sim is how the players/users of this sim have put so much into it to improve it light years beyond what it was in it's original release. I really enjoy the input that the players have put into breathing new life into FSDOE. Anyway, I hope my comment was not offensive to you or your post. I value posters questions and opinions on this BB ------------------
