Seems like I read a post a LONG time ago to the effect that SDOE would not be continued, by Parsoft. Is that still the case, or are there to be new versions in the future?

BTW..thanks to all in the help section who tried to help me get sdoe to run on win98. We tried a bunch of things...but ultimately, a reinstall of windows over windows restored something that made the program work. This sim has been so much more enjoyable with the quality (and cheerful) help from this site!

Gratefully,

Dan

Its not a Norton engine, Its a BSA unit single engine from the sixties, Its 441cc and also called the Victor engine, its claim to fame is 2 World MotoX championships when ridden by Jeff Victor Smith in 65 and 66, the very fortunate middle name was used by BSA to name the bike. It was used in roadbikes but is best known for its offroad role hence the high level pipe. And yes on an open pipe the exhaust note is so loud and low you can feel your stomach vibrating.

Commando nice thumper! Right now I've got a '78 and '79 Yamaha SR-500 and I used to have a '79 Yamaha TT-500. I have kept the '78 stock but tricked out the '79. Nothing like riding that '79. You can feel every stroke of that piston, Long live the Thumper! On a side note you might like, I've got a 1975 Husky CR-360 that I restored. It also came with the factory manual and the manual that shipped with the bike. One day I'm going to race it in the vintage class. If I ever get a scanner I'll post them for you to take a look at.

Good to hear you have also caught the thumper bug Himdog. I have got 3 BSA unit singles, a 1962 C15 which I am coverting to a green laner with a Victor engine in place of the 250 engine (with BSA they kept the same engine mounting dimensions all the way up to the full 500cc B50 and then CCM took it up to 580cc with a 4 valve head and still kept the bottom end the same) and a Victor Roadster and a Victor Special. All fitted with MX cams and geared to highest gearing so I can cruise at 60 mph and hear the engine firing only 2 or 3 times between each telegraph pole. 'Back to Basics' at its best

On the subject of this post, we're still here. Trying to polish the last bits of RC Sim and get it out the door. We hope to get enough free time for some more unsupported work on SDOE.

Wow!
That's great news Mighty!
It's obvious that any work would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for something to look forward to, even if we might have to wait longer for that that we would to finally elect a new American President.

What's RC sim? Any ideas as to what would be added to SDOE as time permits?
