Visible in the pic below are some new features that have been put into the Barracuda. The tailhook (which other people seem to think works, although I cant figure out), the dive brakes, just barely visible is the rear turret, and if you look carefully you will see the pistons in the gear. If you like what you see, have other suggestions on what you think should be included, anything.. just reply (it is also a confidence booster)

Looks GREAT!!! FRIGGIN AWESOME!!! TOTALLY KICK ARSE!!! Dont forget the Radar antennas on the wings please. And the rear radio wire. That will make it look even more FRIGGIN AWESOME!!! P.S. Send that sucker to me and I'll get Mace's arrastor hook system working on her. I already have in working on all the Corsairs and all the A6M Zeros. Its a blast landing on carriers now! Thanks, well, I copied it over, what more is needed? Is it that complex? It lifts the tail off the ground when you put it down. I'll send it as soon as I fugure out why the turret won't move. Oh yeah, how do you make a DOF spring stronger?IP: Logged |

Cool, cant wait! The hooks have to be in a certain spot, and move at a certain angle. There also has to be a certain amount of hooks. The Zeros I did only use 2 invisible hooks. 1 under the fuse and 1 to protect the propeller. The Corsairs, due to their bad ground handling, use 3 invisible hooks. 1 under the fuse and 2 up front to protect the propeller. The hooks, when extended, have to raise the tail just right (To move the center of gravity) and the front hooks have to keep the prop from bending. The wheels have to just barely touch the ground (deck) and they must touch it exactly flat. The hooks also must be defined as wheels and have brakes, but have no 360 degree movement. That causes a HECK of alot of friction and thus causes the plane to stop rather quickly. Also, the brakes on the main aircrafts gear must be turned on. It all just a trial and error process really. To make a DOF spring stronger, just up the number. You might want to mess with the DOF break aswell so it takes more or less force to break the DOF. Werner, for the Zeros, hmm... I'll have to see. (I must check with someone) And for the Corsairs, I THINK Mace was working on this and possibly Jedi. If either one of you two happen to read the, please contact. Keep in mind I didnt add the catapult system to the Corsairs and the Zeros. They dont need it... they can take off just fine under their own power off of a carrier.P.S. Im in the process of adding the hook system to the Wildcat. Looking good Aladar! Got the torp on her yet? Folding wings and sliding canopy? Get with it man, there are pilots waiting! Re: the Corsair "mod," the F4U-1 is currently in "depot maintenance." The catapult and arrestor system is in, and I'm porting Condor's damage standard into her, with working cowl flaps, instruments reflecting engine damage, etc. I may take a crack at fixing the ground handling too, but I'm not sure where to start. Don't expect to see the "new" Corsair in this plane pack, but beta "soon." Now back to the Barracuda drooling...

Well, the first time around no folding wings, have you seen how they work? Most complicated (and skrewy) wing folding system ever divised. No wonder the brits weren't known for WWII Naval Aviation. Here is a pic of how it works. Right now I am just getting the major parts to work, once all of that stuff, I will do the folding wings. IP: Logged | |
