Hey guys, ok as I said I'm going to learn more about max before I get back into things fully, so along those lines I'm learning what I need to know about Max to get terrains built quickly and easily.

Along those lines I really need a good source for free relief maps maps, these will build me an accurate terrain to start with. So if anyone has any good links for this type of map, could you please post here or mail me about them.

Thanks guys

Well this is for stateside information and mostly parks but I seem to recall someone asking to be able to fly the Grand Canyon....
Catalina Island is in here (as well as many other places in the states...). Its a pain to navigate especially if you don't have high speed access. If you choose a large size map, thats exactly what it means not going form 2"x2" to 4"x4". If you zoom in too tight it changes to topographic. If you zoom out too much it becomes flat... Let me know if you figure out how to prevent it from displaying the trails.... www.trailworks.com
