I used the version without the control surface damage and went back to the Red-tailed Angel paint scheme. Until the other developments are improved, I think this is the version that deserves to be in the Plane Pack. With new development set aside, I will focus on adding the 3D details from Razer - tires, Jedi - tail and Bradburger - gear doors as well as improved canopy. http://sweb.uky.edu/~jamuth0/P51DBeta4.zip Thank you again for taking on this big job. Raider, i had some new and improved wheels that would go great on the P51 is i can find them. Let me see if i can find them and if i can i'll send them over. If not i can make them again pretty fast. IP: Logged |

Raider, i couldn't find them, so i made new ones! these look way better then the old ones. And they are about 15 polys less then the others. email me at razlude@bellsouth.net and i'll send over the new LOD and tif. IP: Logged |

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna skin her right now!!!!! Just one thing, I like the bending gears when u open them at high speed, but maybe u should raise the bending speed limit, as often the pilots used to drop them to decrease speed, and sincerely, even if better than before, the landing gears are still a little bit delicate...just a bit... Razer, sending email now.Pang, I still didn't touch the FM, I know that is your baby, I am able to use this and the last version in build 76 as per the other post. This version should be a little easer for you to modify, without the csd. Good luck, I know everybody is looking forward to your improvements. jedi, I didn't include your imporved fuselage yet, because although the scoop looks good, the anntena mast was only visible from one side, as well as the shading on the Hstab's needed to be fixed (as you mentioned). I was trying to get the new things to work first, then work on fixing the other 3D things. lb, is there a suggested speed that the gear would bend? It would not be hard to change, however, this is the model that will be in this Plane Pack. I still have lot's of things planned for improvement, so just get me some specs and you got it. I think that the bending speed should be around 280 MPH, what do u think?li'l ------------------

Yes, 280 mph to 295 mph should be the bending speed. The breaking speed should be around 300 mphIP: Logged |

Hi Raider,On the overspeed dive problem, is that when the airleron is damaged during a dive and then the ai pilot cannot recover? I think this happens alot, and when it happens to me in a dive it is also very difficult to recover. I think this may be fine the way it is, but what to you think? On the ai takeoff problem. When I go back to pp5.3b, the ai pilot takes off properly for me. I will do more testing to verify this when I get home. Could you double check on your pc too? UPDATE: I double checked Raider and the p51 under pp5.3b does takeoff properly. Condor out

I agree with condor about the dive speed and the difficulty to recover the 51 when overspeeding(Itouched the 500MPH and the fusealge started to vibrate for a few, than broke in half). I tried out the climb rate and at first I thought it was good, but when I fought against a FW190A I sadly realised that it had a better climbrate... is the FW190 climbrate too exuberant or not? Another thing about the beautiful bullet holes idea: I really like it, but I wondered if is possible to activate them only when the plane is hit by bullets, and not when receives a generic damage(i.e. an impact with the ground or with another plane).Is it possible to add them to the other planes? It would be great to come home with a B17 full with bullet and flak holes!!!! li'l B ------------------
