Yup, very cool...However I "think" that is a Greek PZL P.24 scheme (of which I've promised to convert the P.11c to once it's completed).. All the same... very nice! IP: Logged |

Zur, in my book it says exactly "P.11c (8.13) in three colour camouflage applied August-September of 1939." And in the book a P.24's caption says "P.24C..." So I think its a Poland scheme.IP: Logged |

(I said I "think" it's a PZL P.24) Well, if that's the case... It's a scheme unlike anything I've previsously seen! Kudos to you! IP: Logged |

Good job, Aladar!I haven't got THE book with me but i can vaguely recall a picture with similar experimental (as it said inthe caption) cammouflage applied to P.11cs. The transition line between the colour was zig-zaggy as on the Aladar's scheme. I'll check when I'm back where THE book resides ------------------ 9./JG3_Poniat IP: Logged |

Nope, it's a two part monography of the P.11 by Glass, Kopanski and Makowski. There is a colour plate with the cammo pattern very similar to the one you've done. There are small differencess thogh, there seem to be only two colours, brown and dark green (drab green, olive green?). The light brown (sand yellow?)you used would be of little use for the Polish kind of terrain so the assumption it's a Greek cammo seems plausible. There is also a series of photos of a crashed P.11c resting on its nose with the pattern clearly visible. The caption says the pattern was tested in 1939. It's got the 'three' on the fuselage and 62 W undearneath the wing. It's cool, please don't be too PC and leave it as well as make other schemes Cheers

Real, made up or figment of a book writers imagination?Don't care, it looks really nice! If the Poles never painted them that way, they damn well should have done! IP: Logged |
