This is currently a large file,For final release I plan to break it up into required online components and optional (hangar missions etc.)which will make it smaller for bandwidth limited users. Dogma will be assembling an installer package for it in advance of final release (I still haven't been able to download it to his site though). As this is beta, please don't download it unless you are comfortable with dealing with the potential challenges resulting from it. I offer no guarantees as to its reliability, however, I believe I've tried most of it and have confidence it will be fairly reliable. WT, I just saw your post about the alpha 17f, after spending way too much time trying to finally get the pack online. I had prematurely put your alpha version in and will be happy to remove it in the final release if you request. Please review the readme prior to installing, the file will overwrite data10, data11, and data12. data13 will need to be removed (renamed) from the media folder to avoid conficts with 5.3b (this I just realized is not in the readme). Go here to for information and a link to the zip file: http://www.angelfire.com/games2/spinsdoe/ I will be online after 9:00pm edt to test, hope to see a few of you. IP: Logged |

No sweat, I'm honoured you think it was up to scratch! There are a few fixes, mainly the screwy referencing of the 17G for textures, which means anyone who has a silver 'G' gets a silver 'F' with green nose and tail, and green engines when they blow up. I can have some fixes posted for early next week, and I will mail you a copy if that would help! The smoothing issue is a pain! I will need to re-build to get that fixed, so that may take a little longer. I have done some fiddling with the inertia boxes too, to cure a glitch Commando found with mid air collisions! Couldn't repeat his findings, but I did find a possible reason! Other than that, I have no problems with her being in the pack, I just worry too much! I wanted her to be as good as I could get her, and there are still so many things I want to do!......like build a new B17 from scratch to the sort of standards we have become accustomed to! I may not be able to match the interior graphics of B17II for resolution and detail, but I plan to get the inside to feel like a B17, rather than a pre-fab Nissen Hut! I love Bombers...( if you hadn't guessed ) and bought the sim for that reason alone! Project B24 is on hold until this one is done, since I plan to build it on the new B17 base. Then I'll re-model the Lancaster. p.s. In all my ramblings I forgot to say THANKS FOR THE PLANEPACK! it#s a dirty job, and I'm bloody glad someone is giving up the time to do it for us! IP: Logged |

Spin,I can't download it where I am at the moment so I can't help with giving comments or anything... I just wanted to say though that I appreciate the work you've put into this.... there's an old saying down here that goes something like "worked hard - done good". I'm sure it applies to you in this case. Keep it up. Cheers,

Condor, sorry to hear about you having a download problem. I've kind of set up the website as a temporary spot - it's a free service so I appreciate feedback like this. Are you on cable DSL or phone? I had tried to upload it to simfiles, but had a bunch of problems (from my side I believe). I'll check with Dogma to see if he can put it at simfiles or not.I'll try to get it moved/copied somewhere more reliable if your problem continues. If anyone else has similar experiences please post. thanks for the update mace. I've had a lot of fun flying the seafire and know it will add a lot to online play. The dates on your file are odd (they say march). Anyway, I picked up the update and will release it with the final version. By the way it was a quick download. IP: Logged |
