Sorry Razer, I'm going to be on and off for the next little while (baby any day now).About the scale, can you tell me how much different it is from the original He 100? I don't have a 3D program, and I have even less talent _using_ them, so I'd like to know if I can hack it back together with some cut-n-paste, or if this is a bigger job. Maury IP: Logged |

Congrats on the baby.. Your going to need to replace the model with the new one, here is an image to show you how big a difference it is. As you can see, the flaps in the middle of the wing is where the old flaps was on the back of the wing on the old model. here's a better shot of the whole plane. The model looks way better then the old one.

Whoa! Ok, I'll play with the existing one a bit first. When you sit the Ki next to something like a Fw, does it look right? Or at all of the planes in the game too small? Maury IP: Logged |

What about terrains - they aren't accurately modeled for size, are they? I mean in North Africa, one of those two islands isn't supposed to be Sicily, right???Werner IP: Logged |

Umm, I'm not sure what you're saying here. The problem, if there is one, is that if the Ki is modeled to the correct scale and the rest of the planes aren't, then the Ki is going to be a lot bigger, and thus a lot easier to hit too. And the reason I ask is that the He 100 was based off of the Fw, so if the Ki ends up being this much larger than the Fw, then maybe there's something wrong with the Fw. And if there's something wrong with the Fw... Maury IP: Logged |

here's a pic of the two side by side. I don't think the KI looks that much bigger then the FW. images of planes alone doesn't really show scale very well. My wings are a bit to long, but they will be corrected when i get the model finished. [This message has been edited by Razer (edited 10-18-2000).] IP: Logged |

You're right, it doesn't look bad at all. The Fw was a small plane after all, I guess it was just the wrong one to start with to build the He 100. Maury IP: Logged |

I have a "graph paper" .obj file that you can import into OPS to check size easily. Each square is one foot. I can post it if you need it. TS IP: Logged |

that's ok, I can only get LODs to import/export in OPS, and that only works in 1.03 and it screwed up names. I try to stay away from OPs as much as possible. Now you know why i don't do FM work. IP: Logged |

Sure tail, I could definitely use that on the 100! Maury
