I'm going to buy this game, no question, but that skin sure is weak!!! Yardstick, DanW, Diego, Razer or any other artists around here could do much, much better. I hope Il2 is flexible enough to accomodate user skins.Werner IP: Logged |

I don't want to sound picky, especially towards a game which looks to be one of the best ever, but, the fuselage just looks WAY too shiny and smooth. Ive just killed half my brain cells, after fixing fabric on an Auster, and very few FABRIC coverd planes look so smooth and shiny.sorry, just had to say! IP: Logged |

Spanky here... Yep the skin isn't too hot, i'm sure someone could do alot better. Imagine what some of the skin boys from around here could do with that skin resolution. IP: Logged |

Don't worry, IL-2 supports skin making. It will be very close to SDOE, except probably better. And I suppose you were aware that you can make your own planes for IL-2? You will have to make them in co-operation with Maddox Games though, since they want to be assured that all planes are "up to standards". With the talent that is in the SDOE community, I'm sure that won't be a problem. You can contact the man himself, Oleg Maddox, at mado@1c.ru Don't forget to keep an eye on the IL-2 Blue Byte website! http://www.bluebyte.com Camo ------------------ Camouflage XO, Lentolaivue 34 www.muodos.fi/LLv34 "The really good pilots use their superior judgment to keep them out of situations where they might be required to demonstrate their superior skill." Oooo... it is in the game! I just pre-ordered it (free FedEx 2day!). Reportedly, there will be free or commercial add ons for it as time goes on. Sadly, multiple gun position planes will only allow you to control one gun position and only that one. The good things is that your bud can use that gun position while you fly.IP: Logged |

Whirlwind,Yeah, I preordered too. I figured there's not a chance I'm going to see it on a shelf, so might as well get in line now. Hey! I'm happy that you can at least have a human gunner in a 2-seater. Oleg reported that it is likely that future 2 seaters added to the game (Ju87 baby!) will also allow a human gunner. I look at it like this... the game's most likely going to be a winner- no-one that's had a chance to play it to date has anything overly negative to say. Regardless, it sure will make some beautiful desktop wallpaper. IP: Logged |
