I have a picture of what a single 30mm round can do to the tail of a Spit - it leaves a really big hole with two strips of metal holding the rest of the tail on. The gun just rips a part planes unless you are firing it in SDOE. In SDOE you are lucky to see it rip a part fabric.

I think of the 262 as pretty potent in SDOE. In general I find one to five canon rounds will down a spit when accurately shot.

Spanky here...

Well the 30mm in the 109 with 67 rounds is potent

I have taken the wing off a lanc with 1 round.

The new spit dies easier too, offline, anyways.

Hmmm... the DM makes the diff. I hadn't had a chance lately to fly any planes - I've been too busy making them . I'll trust the online jocks to give me the word. If you say it is ok, then I'll drop it. I do have an idea of how to DM things based off this one picture.
