OK, boys (and girls?)...The PZL development is progressing along at a dizzying pace! That said... There are areas where I am in dire need of rescources! 1.) Need a cockpit layout. I can't find squat! 2.) ANY specific flight performance data. I have the "general stuff" ... need turn-speed, roll-speed etc. Thanks in advance! IP: Logged |

Zur,Have you tried asking Woolfman on the EAW forum? He's created a bunch of Polish planes for EAW so he might be in the know. I'm a little short of time to do any research (I know, I promised, sorry ) but if he recommends any books/modellers plans still available I'll get them for you. I might be going to Warsaw on business on Friday, I'll try to visit "Pelta" the military/aviation bookstore there, please note the word try ------------------ 9./JG3_Poniat IP: Logged |

Hey guys, do you read Polish? I bought a book last week about the D.520, but it's in Polish. Well I'm not even sure it is Polish(!) but it was printed in Warsaw. I bought it because it has lots of colour profiles, 3-views and pictures even of the rarest variants and prototypes, so it's good to have even if I can't read most of the text. So, to the point: I might have a page or two (not 200) I'd like to have translated. Some very technical stuff. Would you like to help? Thanks! IP: Logged |

...Poniat,No worries my friend, I fully understand! If you stumble upon something great!... if not no problem. ...Pachy, I could "try". However, Poniat can vouch that my engish-to Polish is best described as "rough". ...Eyes, LOL! No worries! I've already looked into what the extent of midification would be necessary. (suprisingly little actually) MAN!... I'd kill for a cockpit shot! IP: Logged |

Zur, it's from one of my all time favorite sites. All modelers should go here: http://www5.50megs.com/robertlundin/ ------------------ IP: Logged |

If it's one of the series I'm thinking of, they're great! books! There's a store here in Toronto with about 15 of them, but more than half are Polish only so they're not that much use to me. There's a similar "detail and scale" sort of series from Japan that is equally amazing, they pick a single plane and basically walk from front to back taking pictures of every possible detail, including many pictures of the cockpit interior. Each page has a picture of the plane with a portion coloured in so you even know where you're looking. In this case the text is both Japanese and English, which is handy. Maury IP: Logged |

If I weren't scrounging for cash to visit all of my family, I'd be interested in some of the books in Japanese as my wife speaks it and she wants me to learn it.IP: Logged |

Leave this fricking forum for two days and see what happens! 1) I am going to Warsaw tomorrow (Fri) and I will try to convince my boss that stopping by the bookstore (for a tiny winy little pee ) IS absolutely necessary. Now where is that bag-o-money? They f***ng nicked it? Ah, well... 2) Pachy, as I'm a native Polish I'm prepared do some impressions of calls, yawns, shrieks (whatever) in this language. Just send me a list of songs and I hum them for you (going to the shop to get some beer to make myself sound beautiful...) 3)[after the break] Pachy, hmmm, reaading Polish, well my mum did try to teach me speak this tongue, my dad had a great collection of belts so the teaching progres was smooth (allegedly). Reading, as some people (those who can read) know is another matter, noneless send me all your books and I will translate them for you, and don't forget about the English and other languages books, I might try my hand at reading and translating them too Seriously, I translated some Polish stuff for a Swedish bloke on this forum (sorry, I really forgot your nick, too lazy to fire up my mail client to check it) so I can do some more if you send me the texts. If only they stopped me pestering about some work to at my work... 4) Zur, there's a company that was going to built scale flying replicas of the P.11, you might want to check them out. Historical Aircraft Corp (612)451-3283 Type: HAC A-001 Powered by: Ford Pinto 55 kW (75 KM) engine Building time (kit form) 1600 h. Wingspan: 10,5 m Weight: 486 kg Speed: 136 km/h Range 483 km. Kit price 17.000 $ Ready to fly price 28.500 $ (1990 year prices). If you happen to be near your bank could you order one for me please, I'll collect it when it's ready ? And I can vouch for you when you get me the plane, OK? Before no smooth talk, I'm afraid.

[what the...? I just submitted the reply and it didn't show up on the board here we go again]Pachy, send me all your Polish books and any other interesting books in other languages and I translate them for you. OK, if you can send me th text, just do it and I'll send the pidgeon English translation for you (in parts if it's longer than War and Peace). Zur, great you have those those cockpit photos, it'll save me (NOT) that trip to Kraków's aviation museum where they were taken at. You may try contacting a company who were going to manufacture scale flying replicas of P.11s: Historical Aircraft Corp (612)451-3283 Type: HAC A-001 Kit price:$19750 Building time: 1200 h Powered by Ford Pinto 55 kW (75 KM) engine (there were some problems with those weren't they? ) Wingspan: 10,5 m Weight: 486 kg Max speed: 136 km/h Range: 483 km. Ready to fly price: 28.500 $ If you get me one of those I can vouch for anything you say ------------------ 9./JG3_Poniat IP: Logged |
