Yup, it sure was. I was watching a special on the History Channel (GREAT cable channel in the states btw) about the history of Video Games. They started talking flight sims and war and I thought FOR SURE the sim they were showing was EAW, but it turns out it was Looking Glass' Flight Combat: Thunder Over Europe. They showed a Bf109 and several B-17 shots. It was pretty choppy at times but who knows what it was running on. They did appear to be at the LGlass Studios though. Obviously this must have been an old show but anyways, I finally got to see what Constantine Hantzopolous looks like. He was the lead guy behind the sim before LGlass went under. I did some things for them on Flight Unlimited 2 and was on their beta team also. He sent me a nice company hat and a team autographed copy of FUII which was very cool to have. Anyhow it's a shame that sim died (or did it?) because it looked very nice.

I have heard some rumors that it may have been picked up by another developer but we'll see. It was neat though and a very good show in general about video games. It looks like the PSX-2 is going to be THE console for games of the future and it's expected to smash all sales records when it's released.

(of course all this is OT but what the hay) :P

Argh!!! The memories flooding in! Surrounding me in darkness! I... can't... handle the... pain!

(no, that's not a sample of my best performance)

I can't tell you just how incredibly disappointed I was that the FC:TOE ball was dropped. Not to mention, I can't imagine what it must feel like to watch 2 1/2 years of your hard work tossed to the wind. Ouch.

It sucks so bad that I tend to hide in the Il-2 forum to ease my worried mind.

On the PS2, Pete. Yeah, looks great, but, ahem... that's _if_ it ever gets shipped.

EA is bailing out on the FS market. Jane's has FCTOE (aka Attack Squadron) but I think they were going to bury the game.

I am positive the narrator said one of the most popular war games ever released was Fighter Combat.
