Here is my old neighborhood where I grew up in SDOE hehe, I found the pic on terraserver.com and did a quick color job to it, it could be much much better, but at least I got it in the game

never thought about doing this before.

the trees look very nice
in fact, if it werent for the structures,
this would make awesome terrain.

i just have a problem with 2d structures.

I gave this idea a try last year, remapped half of Dover in satellite pics, but the result was looking so bad I gave up. Your pic simply look *much* better.
