Ok, I didn't think to even try this the other day since I don't have my new CPU yet and am still running a PII 450. But OMG this runs smoother than at lower res! Before when I tried this on my TNT card it was brought to a crawl, but with the Geforce2 it's smooth @ like 40-65 fps!

So yes, this card DOES do good things to SDOE! And the color and clarity is just brilliant.

Just did a test with my Harrier. On the TNT card I got about 19 fps in the cockpit. With this new card, at the HIGHEST RES in the cockpit I'm getting 60 FPS!

Talk about powerful! Damn this is impressive.

Pete, please give me the specs of this card of yours. I just may be tempted to buy one if the price isnt too steep.

Hercules 3D Prophet II MX
read all about it at www.hercules.com

There is a nice review of it at www.sharkyextreme.com on the front page right now.

My main reason for buying it and not a GTS or DDR Geforce2 card was the cost. $129 vs close to $400.

Voodoo5 is a good card too. I was flying the other night at 1920x1440 and was getting 35 FPS when just flying around for fun testing new things. The A-10 is very nice at this res.

Thanks Pete!

Razer, on your V5 are you using D3d or Glide?

Here is a shot of SDOE at 1920x1440. Note the size of the image is 1.2 megs, (the BMP was 5.2

it shows 20 FPS but that's cause the A-10 is a FPS hog till the lower LODs are added.

and I'm working on those LODs right now Tony I'm not rushing, but they are finding their way in there and it should be done by next week with luck .

Myself, I would love one of these cards, but I know it wouldn't help me, I get constant low FPS in SDOE even with my V3, so I'm thinking I need a new motherboard and CPU (Jetway542B with AMD K62-500)

Tony, just seen the A10.. which version is that?? The cockpit is AWOL, is there something I didn't send you?
