Ok, if I am to do a copy/paste/rename of the P-51d so it can use a Austrailian skin and be under Austrailia... do you guys want me to do that to Raiders latest P-51d beta that he has released to the public? Or do you guys want me to use the stock P-51d? The choice is yours.

I think Raider's innovations are so good that it'd be a shame not to include them for the Aussies as well. So yes, I'd go for his aircraft....I'd even be prepared to waite until the P51d was completed and then do the name change - but that's just me.

BTW....I think I've said this before....so forgive me for repeating myself ....but...

Aussie made Mustangs that saw active service were named as follows:

WW2 - 'CA-17 Mustang Mk.20'
Korea - 'CA-18 Mustang Mk.23'

US made Mustangs that saw active service with Australia were:

WW2 - P51D & P51K
Korea - P51D

Please go for the Aussie made ones

Cheers,

I think I'll wait till Raider releases his latest P-51d beta. No sense in doing things twice eh? Besides, I know he has done some trouble shooting and most likely has fixed a few problems and added new enhancements.

Whilst everyone is on the subject of the Mustang, is ther going to be a change to the undercarrige RETRACTION?

For instance, as it is, the main gear doors are always down when the gear is down. This is fine for when the engine is off, but, in the real plane, when the engine is turned on, the main doors fold up, so air can get into the radiator.
and so on and so forth. Is it possible to change the gear retraction sequence, and if so, will it be done?

Ya how about making the landing gear tough enough to land on first! You can fling the Spit and 109 onto the mud but 2/3 times a bend a strut when I land the Pony. It also happens on the Corsair!

Thanks

Your right, the P-51d Betas gear are way too weak. I hope this is fixed in the next Raider beta.

For shits and giggles last night, I converted the latest public P-51d Beta to be under Australia... but I'll not release it as I'm waiting for the next beta to come out that fixes a few issues. It's just to tie me over.

Hey guys, I am working on the landing gear now. Bradburger has already worked on raising the wheel cover when engine starts. I am trying to work that in, also brake failure and flat tires. Pang is working on the FM and we (Condor) have solved a few problems.

I do hope for a final beta and to make the next plane pack. ArgonV, I will be sure to send you what we have in time for you to make your conversions and also include it in the next plane pack.
