My B17 has been attacked by a swarm of 20mm moths. Is this covered under my warranty?...

Yours Sincerely,

Mr W T Gunner

Yes Smithers........

Oh this is true......

It adds a little to the overall poly count, but what the hell. You can do painted patches for wings and fuse, but with a wopping great tail like that, you want something a little better.

Only downside to doing this is that I have got to take a little step backward to do it properly. I will use obModel to swap bits from my damaged B17 into the original, which means having the file reference in the root of the model along with the propfast and shadows etc.

OPS won't do this without crashing. I will have to re-compile my model from the OL file with an extra group added at the start - which will mean re-numbering all the other groups, and wrecking all the DOF's again. Still, once the reference is in there, future additions will be easier.

The alternative is to re-position all the damage parts at the origin, hide them, and ob-model and unhide. This may be better in the short run, just needed to get some sleep last night!
