I'd heard of the Polish Pz fighter, have pictures of it, and some details.This I foundon the Luft46 site and just had to have a go and build it! It is the Bv P.170
http://visi.net/~djohnson/bv/bvp170.html I was bored at work this afternoon, since my work plans got hosed along with the server most of my files were on, so I knocked out a quick model instead. It's a shame they run NT4 here, which doesn't support DirectX5+ or I could fire up OPS and work on proper projects!!!!!! Still, this thing looks like fun! If you check out the site, you can see two drawings from the proposal..... This will be a spare time project,with my priorities: 1) B17
2) Sort out Nats A10 low detail Lods#
3) Midway Airfields
4) B24

It does look a bit 'pod racer'!Still the design was able to achieve over 470mph and it was a bomber! Of all the wacky designs the Germans drew up, this is one of the wildest 'practical' ones. Should make quite a view from the cockpit! AC3D model done.......
Ready to port into OPS & skin....
Don't have a clue how to FM this thing.....
But, I suppose there is little chance of anyone proving I've got it wrong!!!!! Still, the Luft46 site has enough data to give me a good start. Unlike some of the other designs! IP: Logged |
