I removed SDOE, deleted the directory and reinstalled from CD and reapplied all the service packs. Still had some CTD's but then I switched my desktop from 32 bit to 16 bit color and the problem went away.

I played all night after that without a single CTD, can't remember being able to do that in a long time.

Ohyea.. if you have a USB sidewinder don't upgrade to windows ME yet the sidewinder profiler doesn't work in ME, I had to make a new keyboard.inp file that mapped directly to the buttons.

How's that for brilliant, MS doesn't manage to support it's own hardware.

I have USB Sidewinder and ME and Sidewinder works fine!

You guys are sure quick to blame everything on Microsoft!

The profiler does not recognize the stick even though the control panel does.. i ran into several other people on the newsgroups who also have this problem.
