Hi guys, just wondering where online is these days. I can't find games with more then 3 people half the time even late in the evening or on the weekend.

I'm really thinking this is just a tinkerers sim but I want to fly online.

Someone recommend a sim for me>?

No aces high cause It seemed messed the last time I tried it, (2 weeks ago)

You must remember thats it's Summer and alot of people go away or find other pursuits,, or with families, have to do other pursuits,, as Autumn (Fall) falls in ;-) , the pilots will come back,,,

And ROBERT,,,,,,if You hit cal12 at 11-12GMT you will catch some of us regular Europe Pilots, IS that you Handle! ( flying name) You and Semmerm , check out www.luftwaffe.net and our forum,, well arrange some times from there on our forum so,, Leave a message on it..saying what times you are available,, we'll reply!

Semmern,, I've been on 56K modem from year dot,,,, and find it's fine for SDOE,,, just really shit at peak times when everyone and his dog is trying to find "Dog Kennels" on Yahoo.com,, so get flying and practicing now,,,,,,!!!!!!!!

Yep I gotta agree with ya there nat, Even i'm guitly of that.

I use tails app and I don't go on till there is 4 people.

Lately I have been logging on and waiting but then i start surfing while i wait and forget about the lobby.

It would be cool if you could beep people in the lobby with a sound like you can people in an ICQ chat to wake them up.

We really need to try and do something about this boys. Its sucking bad. I want to play in the evening, not at 1 in the morning. I'm too tired at work, and a tired carpenter gets hurt.

I feel your pain there serrmen. That paying by the minute stuff sucks ass. I can't belive that.

Heck I won't get a cel phone cause you have to pay by the minute. Its rediculous.

In Canada we don't even have to pay by the minute for long distance on some plans.

$20 unlimited evenings and weekends.

You guys need to have a mass revolt over there and tell the phone companyes to slam it up there ass. Local calls should be a set montly fee.

To people that havn't tried online cause they are on 56k, Give it a try, I flew On 56k for a year and its just fine like that. I don't think I warped that bad (I did have a good ISP though so search the best one out in your area even if it is a bit more) and when I did it was probly my FPS more then my 56k.

Online rocks.

And you plane builders. Come online once and a while and take a break. Heck if you give people a couple hour warning I'm sure some of us would be willing to test fly your latest creation online that night. I know I would.

I guess we will have to take a look at missmatches too.

Who ever was wroking on the loadouts to fix some of the damage issues. Hows that going>?

Personally I have drifted away from online with SDOE for several reasons........

First, until (or IF) the ground damage bug gets fixed I dont think you will see this SIM ever growing to the vast potential it could.

Second, the last time I played the CTD's were horrible. I'm not the tech'o type to figure out what causes this but it is PITR (pain in the rear)!

Third, it seems like it takes about 45 minutes to get a game together (missmatches, CTD's, picking planes, reading mission, etc), then if you crash or get smoked from the start then you are back to waiting another 20 minutes, for game to end and..... here we go, start again.

Last, I think ALL the new stuff is FANTASTIC (keep up the great work guys!), but....... there needs to be some fixes to the planes that are currently standard online, as well as making sure the new stuff is right. The cool thing about FS is the "realism" of flying, however there are things that are not real. Most of this has been expressed at one time or another in the forum, but for example, the limited reading I have done quote the WW2 pilot giving the plane full throttle on take off.... try that with most of the planes in FS and you won't make it off the ground.

Anyway, let us keep the fingers crossed for MH and crew to come back to this SIM when done with RC and make the necessary decisions and programing changes for online play. I can say that the INFERNO squad I belong to was ready to come to this SIM until the bugs were realized. And can say that along with our squad there were MANY that could have been convinced to move from Novalogic's "cheat" infested world of F22 to come over and fly the FS. As bad as it has become there are still at least 30 or so players flying F22 every night of the week along with squad wars and tournaments. Those that fly F22 online dont do it for the plane, its the format of play. Put any of those guys behind the joystick of the FS SIM and they would be hooked!

Mon-Fri, I'm usually on Cal 12 most nights from about 8:00pm to 01:00am AEST which is 11:00am to 4:00pm GMT and 6:00am to 11:00am USA EST ealier the same day. Weekends find me glued to this thing all day/night which is when I really get the chance to fly against some of you guys in numbers greater than one or two..
