PBY-5A LOST All hands rescued!!!!

It was officially confirmed today by Consolidated Aircraft Corportation that the PBY-5A recently under development has gone down and is considered lost. Parts of the wreckage have been found but the plane cannot be salvaged.

Consolidated has stated, "The incidents that lead to the loss of this prototype aircraft were unforseen. The crew of 7 was rescued. We are committed to the completion of this aircraft even if we must build again. Our data and specifications are in tact and we will press on."

It is not known what effect this delay will have on the war effort. But given Consolidated's firm stance of proceeding, we hope the delay won't be long, as it appears things may escalate in the Pacific Theater of Operatons.

I am glad I sent that one out. However, it is a fake (it doesnt have its own FM. It was built on the Ju88A4. Reconstruction has begun on a "real" version". That model is the "pieces" that were found in the news story. What was lost was two directories of archives, including individual pieces. These represent many hours of learning and work.

I may also have lost over 20 meg of detail photographs.
