Hey, Al. we all have problems with OPS. It's why i don't do FM work, try to keep the language down a bit.

We all get pissed off sometimes and venting in General isn't the answer. You go online later that night and take it out on other fliers.

So Aladar, a bit upset were we

Seriously though, I occasionaly 'tinker' with stuff in ops and it too CDT's a fare bit.

It usualy happens when I'm in DOF view and switch from one part to another. It seems my copy of ops at least (dunno which version it is) doesn't like refreshing the DOF section because of all the info it contains.

To get around this, when I do my changes to the DOFs I switch back to LOD view (which has very little info to refresh) and then reload (ie this saves the file too). This appears to work 99.9% of the time.

(and don't forget a few younger people probably read this board )

Cheers,

AGAS(Ops impaired) 5

The problem is that Aladar is one of the younger people who read this board.

He he he, Jerry, guilty as charged. But, I got the problem fixed, it appears that OPS ver.1.03 doesn't like me moving the pilot, so I switched to ver.1.30 and voila!

What I do is use 1.03 for copying things that are not in the parent part, (Example: propfast and shadows) and importing/exporting LODs. I use 1.30 for everything else.

I'm sorry Aladar, I don't see anything funny or warranting a "hehehe" in this. You frequently vent your frustrations by leaning on your capslock and firing off half-though-out posts in this forum. I've been holding back for a while now, but this language business has gone and done it this time. I am just a few years your senior, and definitely among the younger 20% if not 10%, and as such I feel that we have a responsability to show as much maturity and responsability around here as possible. This is a community of people of all walks of life who congregate for two things: love of this game (and innovation that comes with it), as well as a reverence for those who fought and died or survived the horror that was the Second World War. On neither of these two counts do I question your commitment, but as a member of the same peer group I am sad and ashamed when I read "pulp" as above. It gives a poor impression of youth, and a poor impression of yourself. I'm sure you're an interesting, articulate young man, but you're sure not showing it. So with that, I respectfully request that you please make an effort to temper your posts, with particular attention to relevance and appropriateness. I think some of the above comments are from people too polite to say this, but I'm not. Aladar, smarten up man, this is boorish behaviour and is beneath you.

*SMACK* Oh, thanks for slapping some sense into me. Please, next time ANYONE, has a problem with the way I do anything, tell me!!!!! Granted, I should have known better than to type that way. I appologize to all that I have offended. I was so pissed when I wrote this, I guess I didn't think it through. I have a habit of doing that don't I? How "senior" are you Werner?

A couple years Aladar, just a couple. You commented a few weeks ago about the stress of high school...

Aladar, please take what I wrote not as a flame but more as a blunt but well-intended request, young mano-a-young mano.

Heres another fact that should be remembered right about now.....

OPS was free, designed and developed by someone who did it for nothing and has done a lot to make plane modifying as easy as it is! I have had problems with OPS too, but still use it because I couldn't work without it. (Spent ages building up the B24 in AC3D, compile it, want to move a DOF or two, and it won;t open in OPS.....)

We have the only Sim I know of with a working modelling tool for free. CFS-you have to pay more money than the game cost to get one. EAW..nearly have an editor, Janes..working towards one.

So it's a little volatile, SO WHAT....its still good enough for me!
