Two unrelated items, both rather bizarre in nature. First, the case of the rocket vs aerial target:

Observation 1: American-style P47 rockets failed on all attempts at damaging 4 engined bombers when launched at them (in large volleys many, many, many times with godmode on so I could focus on aim). Thinking my aim was still at fault, I fired up the Sopwith Pup zep killer mission (btw, what is it that he says when you hit g??), and low and behold - the zepp has shields! That's right, the rockets would glance right off the zepp without causing any damage. In retrospect, I saw the same from the bombers (which explains the occasionally pranged prop) in the first test. Now why is it that both small calibre ammo and rockets will destroy ground targets, but rockets would not damage flying objects?

2. Perhaps this is voodoo or a coincidence or whatever, but ever since I loaded the Autopilot-challenged Beaus in my game, the autopilot has gained a suicidal streak in other planes as well. I leave my P47 for thirty seconds to inspect my target bombers in the above experiment and BOOM! spiralled right into a hill. It's like the pilot has a heart attack, kills the throttle, shoves it to one side and rides 'er into the ground. Having a little knowledge about ppf, sm, etc files, I don't see why an aircraft could screw up something I'd imagine is hard-coded, but... any thoughts from you gurus out there?

Thanks,

Werner

Actually, I dont think any rockets will hit the Zepp. I know with the updated slow Zepp I did awhile back, I couldnt shoot rockets at it. They would just pass right thru. Keep in mind that for auto-pilot to work correctly, you must have waypoints for it to follow. (I think this is true...)

You don't have to have them. The plane should try to maintain altitude and course. If you leave a bombers controls to man the guns, you should keep flying.

If you have nations installed, perhaps you have Japanese pilots in some of you planes....
