I remember drooling over an updated P-38 last month. Is there a beta I can fly? I looked at the Hanger and did not see it. Thanks...

Last i heard they were working on the new DM and FM. I got a beta of it in the mail, but haven't had time to check it out. another drool photo  ------------------

Spanky here... I thought the intakes where going to be 3d with some depth? and the bottom of the intakes looks really blocky? Or am i just seeing things?

I don't have any screenshots of it for you to drool over, (Family and I are in the process of moving cross country later this week) but we are in the bug weeding stages of the preliminary DM, there are still some enhancements that we are working on and the FM will be retweaked and much closer to the flight characteristics of the P-38. All of this is going on as we speak, since the model is quickest to tweak on plane this complex it will still be a little bit before we release it. But we are hard at work on it and working as quick as we can....

Actually exactly like he said. Trying to find a CTD bug. I know where, I just dont know what (yet).From the testing we have done, I can tell you that the plane can take more hits in the tail, and comes apart differently (read as better/more realistically) than she did before. (This is because of a basic model change not a DM change - though it did affect the DM thats not why the change was made). In a dogfight I watched my RH vert stabilizer get shot off, then they took off the hstab. You would never have seen this before.... Have patience, it will be worth it. Just bear in mind that per Zur this is the most difficult FM he did. Changes arent made without thought as to what the overall impact will be.... (Its a balancing act) ------------------

Paradise.. eheheh..... funny stuff.....
We are moving to Delaware from here.. there is more work and they are willing to pay for it. Also, my coming from Southern California I hate not having an ocean around to gawk at. ;} So this will be a good move for us, we hate the heat and the air quality in OK is just nasty, all the biological crap from everywhere the wind blows in from is just too extreme for my poor system, so it is time to move on. I will be offline starting tonight, and I am not sure how long I will be off, so I see you guys when I get setup.... Talk to you all later,

Thanks for all of the replies here and I know this is an old post. But, with the pending release of the new plane pack, I was wondering if any improved version could be included in the pack. It doesn't have to have all of the DM work in it but anything would be cool. Thanks cause I just love this plane...
