Hi guys, was just asked about how its going, so hell, might aswell post a pic and keep my mega posting regim going

Right now FM work has started, and when I get bored with that I'm doing the mapping (which is so damn easy now I can map again! )

Top Speed currently Mach 1.2, needs to be Mach 2. High spped is meaning very high G in turns, I hope I can find a way to limit the G's or else turning will be a very slow thing in the JA37. AI doesn't like to fly it, but Auto pilot does... (work that one out) so the FM on this one is going to be a major pain to get right I think.

Anyway, here's a pic of the Alpha, body detail is hard to make out, so I'll go and map the fuse and post another pic in a while.

Looking good Nat! Are you gonna do 3D intakes or just paint them on?

they'll end up being 3D, I've made the exhaust 3D aswell, there's still loads to do though with the Viggen, the A10 was much easier than this one is

Now we only need some forest roads to land on. Not long ago, a pair of Viggens screamed past my house. Man, that cool sound of those Volvo engines

Way to go Nat!
More Saabs in SDOE!

One thing though, if itīs gonna be a JA37 the vertical stabilizer (tailfin) should look somewhat different. Itīs hard to explain without picīs but there should be an "extra" fin on top of the big one. Maybe Iīll post you a pic so youīll see what I mean. Right now it looks like a AJ37 (big diff huhh? )
Just so you know...

Here is a link to a pic where you can see what I mean. On a JA37 the tip of the fin is sort of "bent back". On a AJ37 the trailing edge of the fin is "straight". http://www.abc.se/~m7108/ja37p_1.jpg

Good work/Robert

PS.Semmern, what were Swedish Viggens doing in Norway? Cause, you live in Norway, right?DS

Hey Robert, Thanks, and your right, that model is actually an AJ37, a slightly earlier vresion of the one I'm building, so thats one of the changes to be made to the model, I have a very good pic showing both versions which I'll be using to texture it frmo now (Thanks Steve!) It'll also help for some more minor shape mods on the fuse and wings

Right now it's in a complete rebuild, OPS deleted the nose and fuse on one of the saves, so I've had to go back to the beginning, not a bad thing though, there are some other thinngs I needed to change anyway

Robert: Well, they were trying to intercept a DC-9 landing at the airport No, y'see there's this airport at the western coast of Norway, more exact in Stavanger. Every time I go there there are some NATO planes there.....Like KC-135's, E-3 Sentrys, and......well, among a bunch of others: Viggens
