hey guys, we'll I've done loads to this over the last couple of days, and I'm happier with it than ever, tomorrow I'm gonna make some final checks then upload it to my site as a Beta1 release for general use/testing, for you guys to tell me what you think, whats not quiet right tips on improvements or help, whatever, you know the score

Here are some pics of the latest version, now with the dive brakes added, oh, and a pilot with a helmet.. lol

Improved body styling and pilot

Maverick Loadout.. 8/10 mile killers.. hehe (still need help with ordpoints on a new type pylon.. volunteers?)

hate to spoil the "skin" fun, but unless it gets mapped thats how it'll stay, I've tried everything and just can't get the textures to show up in the viewport anymore, re-installed windows, re-instaled max etc etc.. no go. Don't get me wrong but please don't start explaining how to texture map to me.. lol I past that point way back with the Akizuki.. lol

Nat, lol I know you can texture. Just look at all your textured ground units! No one else can texture it for you?

P.S. I cannot texture...

Nat: If i was to take this version and extract all the parts using hippies extractor, would the parts still have positions?

If so, i'm still willing to Texture map it, i just have to impost all the parts into AC3D to map them and have everything line up.

Hey Razer, thats cool of you.. as far as I'm aware you should be able to extract it with Hippies tools, work on it in Ac£d, and aslong as you don't reposition it in AC3D, when you export the lod you should be able to rebuild it without any problem

I don't have a texture map to use for it, but if I was able to do it myself I would probably use something like the B17 tif and map the parts as per that, but if you're able to do this for me, use what you find best cause whatever yo uuse it'll be better than nothing

Really big thanks Razer... thinking about it, I will be adding second level LODS for the final version once I know this is as good as it can be.. but that wont be a problem since all I'll need do is copy the ccurent LOD, put it as a second level and the import the new LOD to it, and it will keep it's mappinig.

Really Razer, big thanks if you can sort this for me.. shame is that unless I can get my puter workin right again this will be the last project

Super job Nat! Do the speed brakes work with the B key? I was going to do that in a future project, just curious.

Great plane!!

Two small problems.

-When ever I drop the bombs (on the Heavy Take Off Training Mission) my game freezes.

-The Mavrick missiles dont fly straight. They sort of twirl slowly in the air while goin foward really fast.

Also, whats with the torpedo installation? I didnt overwrite anything (Im cautious) but it appears some sm's get placed in the aircraft\weapons\textures directory and they are torpedoes when I opened them up in OPS.

Hey Argon.. er.. torpedo? lol, I don't think that was part of this zip.. OOppss.. just checked.. they shouldn't be there, just delete them, bad houskeeping on my part.

The Mavs, yes, there's is a definate method to using them, but I think you'll find they fly very straight since I'm taking out targets at 8 miles, they don't react quiet like usual rockets, but with practice you'll find them excellent weapons.

The Heavy bomb loadout.. I didn't mention this problem as I thought it was confined only to me... I have no idea then why it's freezing the game, I'll remove/alter the heavy loadout for the final version if I can't find out why it does this.

On the main so far then.. go response, but please keep me informed of any other problems

Nat, i've been looking over the model, and good news, everything imports with position so mapping wont be that hard. One little thing, what are the white triangles on the vertical stabes? Do they have to stay there? Can i removed them?

Thanks, i may just create my own template but a 3 view would help a lot more.

Razer, they are just small polys that got missed when the texture was thrown onto it, so they can go. Very cool to hear that they LODs don't move though, and believe me, although I've been unable to map this muself, I feel your pain when it comes to having a good 3 way, it would make it look so much better if it could be mapped to a good 3 way rather than trying to do our own texture, but I'll look some more now and see if I managed to stumble across one, don't hold your breath though
