me262 combat diary and a good book on the singapore 'dunkirk' just to get me in the mood....

anyway....

Team PBY I have a request. I urgently need your plane in whatever state it is in to test out water landings on the embryonic 'water' field now located some miles north of Midway Atoll. The game won't let the plane start on the 'splashway', but you can land.....and not sink!!!!!!!

It's a cheat, but it bloody well works!

I've been trying it out in 'god' mode, but when you stop, the plane bounces and flips. I need to try a plane designed to survive water contact. I could do one myself, with the necessary guidance, but this would save me a lot of time.

If your plane has hidden wheels, I could try to make some landing slipways, where planes could start, rolling into the water.....landing dolly perhaps?

The area will need to be outlined with a coral reef to mark the outline, shaped to look pretty, coz if you land off the airfield you gonna sink boy!!!!

If this works, the next one will sit right over the other atoll at Midway for seaplane operations.

Please please please....

Barring some texture hassles, I have managed to land a 262 on water and not sink, but only in God mode. The sim kicks it about and sends up a lot of splashes, and you usually end up parked upside down!
