Thank you Argon V,

Your fix worked in clearing up my problem for both Razor's P39 and your P39Q.

One note: I did notice that the color of the plane turned to more of a dark brown than the green I originally had. Also the scenery from inside the cockpit is a darker almost brown color than seen from outside the cockpit. Almost like having tinted glass.

BTW, you mentioned I should perhaps update my video drivers. I have the boxed drivers that came with the Creative Labs 3d Blaster Banshee. I've never updated them and don't know how. Wonder if you would mind explaining the drill. I went to the Creative Labs site and looked up the latest driver for the 3D Blaster Banshee, but was reluctant to try it cuz mine has been working fine with all my games and wasn't sure the download was the correct one. I'm not clear if the new drivers will adversely affect any of my current games, plus as I mentioned, I don't know how to install em.

Sure glad ya fixed the Prop issue.

Thanks again,

Drift

Drift, did you overwrite the origonal p39.sm? I cant figure out why my p39Q.sm would affect the origonal p39.sm The p39 and p39Q do have tinted glass... but the brown color I cant figure out. Keep in mind that the p39 and the p39Q are totally separate aircraft. The p39Q should have the Soviet brown skin and the origonal p39 should be green.

If your video drivers work fine with all your games, DONT upgrade them! Why mess up a good thing?

P.S. How did it fix both your prop problems? Did you copy the Prop.tif file in my zip to the origonal p39s texture directory?

ArgonV,

I fixed Razer's P39 by copying your fix into the P39 (Razer's) texture directory.

It was my mistake regarding the color of the exterior paint jobs. I see now that the Q is brown and Razer's is green.

I added both planes to the Dynamic Mission Creator and I used 376mph for max speed. I don't know what you all programed except I did see 400 plus something in the hanger write up under the P39. Figured that must be a typo error or maybe the figure for the P63 Kingcobra, I donno. I don't have the "Nations" program loaded so I don't have your readout on the P39Q. Can I install the Nations program now without it screwing up all my established files?

Roger copy: "don't mess with the drivers", but should I have to for some reason, do I have to first go to add/remove programs and uninstall the existing ones before installing the new ones, or can you just overwrite the old with the new?

PS I really.... really do like both the Aircobra's. You both have done an outstanding job so far.

Thanks,

Drift

Drift, Hehehe... whew, you had me worried there for a minute about the color thing.
From my refrences, the P-39 (doesnt say which variant) flew 386 mph. at 9,500 ft. You SHOULD be able to install Nations with out screwing every thing up. (How are you flying the Soviet, Jap and Fake Italian aircraft without it? Did you change the loadout.ppf files for those planes? If you dont have any Soviet, Jap or Italian aircraft I suggest you get them after you get Nations installed. You dont know what youre missing!)

The P-39 wouldnt be possible without Razer. Thanks Razer for this awesome aircraft!

As for the video drivers, each manufacturer has a diffrent way of doing the install procedure. It should tell you how at the website. With my V3 3000 AGP, I have to uninstall the existing drivers and then install the new ones and install DX7a after that. Big mess it can be.

really the P-39 would never have happened if it wasn't for all the work Kraft put into her in the first place. I just picked up where he left off.

Want to thank someone, thank kraft.

OK Gang,

Thanks to everyone who produced these amazing addtions. I bought SDOE when it first came out and shortly lost interest as I thought it needed more planes. I was astounded when I stumbled across this site last week and found all the planes that were added. Not only that, but the planes were BETTER than the original produced by Activision. I mean, canopy's that open....really amazing. The game is fun in design and these add-ons make it SUPER. You all are to be commended, and Activision also I guess for providing the info necessary to make the additions.

ArgonV: I've played with the Jap/Soviet planes by creating missions with the editor. I noticed the DMC did not work with machines not in the hanger, so I better download the Nations program to 'get with the program' so to speak.

Thanks guys,

Drift

You can add planes to DMC. Just open the text file, see how each plane is set up, and add the new one. As long as the plane is in SDOE you can add it to DMC.
