Okay, I'm putting the finishing touches on the JUEF128. She'll fly and be fun, as well as look nice. Perfect she will not be. An
elaborate damage model is also not include.
Time permitting, I will try to implement the reusable bullet holes routine though.
Now, any thoughts about the BA 349 as a flyable option in SDOE? I think it would make for a good carnival ride!! And more than likely it will be my next project.
Its not that I am some type of SWOTL freak-
its just unbelievable what war can do to stretch the imagination of people............

I'll post the pic tonight-last night I got side tracked. Hey Whirlwind if you like you can send this BVP 209G in .ac. By the way, what is it? This BA349 you just need to do a search and you can find info on the net. I just tried the same with this 209 you mentioned and can find nothing. My email is:

Sure, no prob. The 209 is a jet body with wings that have winglets - no tail or vert stabs.

Before I get bombarded with "let me have that BA-349 Natter!" here's the quick story behind it. I've been asked by Crosswind Sims to produce some models for them, since they'll be using the OpenPlane technology.
This is the first project and no, you honestly can't borrow it from me. You'll have to wait until that sim comes out. So Wil, if you still want to make one (or anyone else for that matter) go for it. Keep in mind though to use 4 Rockets, and then the main center rocket after the 4 boosters burn out is virtually impossible with SDOE in it's current state.

Future OP sims will most likely have rockets enabled in them (thank goodness!). Can't say anymore except this is the beginning of a (hopefully) very good relationship!

Spanky here...

Looking good there pete.

BTW is that your main employer or just a sideline>?

If ya can talk about it. I figured you can since your showing us that.

I have high hopes for that sim.

hehe I can see that being SDOE 2 LOL in a round about way, people will be taking all the planes out of SDOE and adding it to that.

ANd then the real SDOE 2 will come out and we'll move them all back over to that.

and so on, so on and so on.

Pete - a hypothetical question here: Once Crosswind's simulation comes out, will it be possible to cannibalize all their planes and terrains into sdoe, and vice-versa? This has some incredible potential! If that would work, and the openplane engine gets taken up by a couple other developpers, we could have ourselves a mighty fine collection of planes, but more importantly terrains! (Don't read a slam at Nat et al into this: on the contrary I think they're understaffed)

Werner,

I don't know and even if I did I couldn't say. Sorry. Just have to wait and see and try it when it's out.

I'm back. Sorry, but the juef will come out in Oct. How do you guys do it??? With work,
family, the dog, the house....how are some of you guys cranking this shit out? I lost so much time with work lately it is unbelievable-then the woman rides my ass about time with the family...need I say more.
Then the other day she ask "Is the plane done?" I'm losing it-probably already lost it.......

I'm only reading between the lines from what I've seen posted on their discussion board, but it looks increasingly like the answer is YES. There may be an issue with terrain, because I know one of their goals is to fix the terrain size (phew).

Perhaps a more interesting way to look at it is to consider whether or not all of the SDoE planes will work under their engine...
