Yes my friends, after endless hours in photoshop editing over 400 tifs....night has fallen over Rhineland (winter that is).Right now it is only a skin job not a stand alone terrain (little help? hint..hint..) but there is now a night terrain with working airfields available (if somebody has room to post it). All credit goes to the original creators, Zoycite I believe, (please correct me if I'm wrong)I just made it dark. Any further help would be greatly appreciated. thanks BULLET IP: Logged |

Hey, that looks great! Any chance you added some lights to the airfields? IP: Logged |

I was thinking about that. I'm not sure how they would render though, because of the tif size. I'll give it a try.Deigo, I've got a little proposition for you in your E-mail. IP: Logged |

bullet, for runway lights etc, try copying the Flare from a Rocket, if you find it too small just increase the LOD sizeIP: Logged |

Nat, I understand what you're saying, but I have no idea how to do it. I generally just paint things, and was looking to pass this on to far more capable hands. I've played around with OPS with mostly poor results. Right now everything still works and I don't want to "F" things up cause I don't know what I'm doing. IP: Logged |

Like I said before, its just a skin job right now. I think it would be great to make it a stand alone terrain but that is beyond my meager capabilities. If anybody wants to pick up the ball from here I will send them every thing I have.I would gladly E-it to anybody BUT my zip capacity on hotmail is like 1050K so it will take like 60 E-mails to get it out. I don't have a site to post it on, soooooo.....I'm looking for ideas. I would really like to get this out there. Any ideas are welcome. IP: Logged |

Bullet fortunecity gives with each account 100 mb space. get an account from there, upload the files and then give the username and password to the guy who will fix the terrain...simple right ?IP: Logged |

how big would it be if you zipped it up? I'll package it up for you as a stand-alone terrain. IP: Logged |

What am I missing? What's the point in having a beautiful white winter terrain and then make it all dark so it looks no better or different than a regular terrain at night? IP: Logged |

If its got working airfields that would be enough BUT. It will also have atmosphere, with build 65 you can vary the sky colour and fog colour, so you can can have dark overcast foggy mornings in the cold or anything else you can rustle up with the colour settings. In winter the sun is down more than it is up so it does make perfect sense to me. Now what about a dark Midway to get one over CFS2. ------------------ IP: Logged |
