Ok, as some of you know I started the P-39Q. Now Im having a few problems (gun pod convergance distance, what types of loadouts did she have) but I also thought about all the new DM enhancements that have ben discovered/rediscovered. I would like to know if anyone would be willing to add these new damage features to the P-39Q? I thought it would be nice to release a plane with all these new features so one would not have to add them way later on down the road. So who would like to take it on? You must have tons of free time as I would like to release it some time within a week or two.

P.S. If you know answers to the problems mentioned above, plase tell me!

Thanks Razer! They are 0.50 inch (12.7 mm) guns. I have no idea how much ammo they hold so if anyone knows, please let me know!

From 'Aircraft of World War II'- (1999) PRC Publishing Ltd.

P39Q.

Length: 30ft 2in (9.2m)
Height: 11ft 10in (3.63m)
Wingspan: 34ft (10.37m)
Weight empty: 5,600lb (2,540kg)
Range: 675 miles (1.086km)
Max Speed: 380 mph (612 km/h)
Service Ceiling: 35,000ft (10,670m)
Engine: 1,200hp Allison V-1710-85
Armanent:
1x 37mm nose cannon - 30 rds
2x .50in fuselage guns - ? rds (enclosed within the nose contours)
(up to)4x .30in wing guns - ? rds
500lb bomb on centreline rack

Not much there on qty of rds .... I'll see what else I can turn up. Also no indication of .50 guns in the wing pods ....

Correction....

From .. http://www.nasm.edu/nasm/aero/aircraft/bellp39q.htm

'The final production variant of the Airacobra was the P-39Q. The most important difference was the replacement of the .30 cal. wing guns with a .50 cal. in a pod under each wing giving the aircraft a total of four .50 cal. guns.'

More to follow .....

Getting closer now....

From: http://www.bryant.edu/~history/h364proj/fall_98/martin/p39.html

Armament: 2 - 50 cal machine guns (nose) with 200 rpg

2 - 50 cal machine guns (1/wing) with 300 rpg

1 - 37mm cannon (nose) with 30 rounds

Cheers,

This is MUCH help! Now I got the loadout correct! All I need now is for someone to take up the DM part... (possibly FM, but thats a pain as it requires some fixing in a Ac3d or Max to move the model to the right spot) I suck at DM and FM. When ever/if ever someone takes up the DM and completes it, I shall release. But no sooner.
