I was hoping someone would I was going to wait until the lates mods were finalised on the P51d before did the big ask though The Aussie built one in WW2 was called the CA-17 Mk 20. Let me know when the time comes and I'll get some specs to ya (not much different to the P51d) We also built the Mustang CA-18 Mk 21/22/23. The Mk 21 & 22 did not see action, but the Mk 23 saw action in Korea (along with Aust P51d's)... but I guess that another story Oh... g'day Thunder, nice to here from you. Things are under control with Nations Australia, but thanks for asking Cheers, AGAS 5 [This message has been edited by AGAS - 5 (edited 09-05-2000).] IP: Logged |

The CA-17 eh? Ive heard of that before but have not seen it. What is visually different from that of a P-51D? I cannot do 3d modeling, only OPS stuff.------------------ -=Make sims, not hype=- IP: Logged |

Just checked my reference again....There's only one difference between the P51d and CA-17 .... our speedo was in knots, not mph ! (infact the first 70 were assembled from US parts) The main change came about with the CA-18 Mk23..it had the Packard Merlin 70 series engine (more grunt ) Cheers, AGAS 5 IP: Logged |

I wonder if those CAC designers were inspired by a certain North American design IP: Logged |
