With the recent influx of newbies to our grand ole community, I feel I must state this or go insane!There is a search feature in this forum. Use it!!
I am sick of these constant requests information on planes and other objects, of which the same question had been ask a week ago. Or even a day ago in some cases.
If you need game info, check the online standards section. If you want plane info, check the search section. PLEASE!
I realize most of these newbies are 14 year old Junior High School boys, but they can read, I think.
Having to sift thru this endless pile repetitive questions to get to the usefull information is way out of line. In other words, KNOCK IT OFF!! Prop out IP: Logged |

Well I guess thats one way of stopping the influx of newbies. Lets all be pricks and see how long the sim lasts.I on the other hand I need to start seeing download posts listed under the download section and the same old questions listed under the FAQ board etc. Lets start using the board the way it was designed then maybee we will see less miss placed newbie questions. I would also like to see a section dedicated to, lets say' new to SDOE all you need to know'. give em a user friendly place to air there comments and questions. IP: Logged |

in a way I agree with Prop, in the FAQ 2 people have asked for a list of keyboard commands in the last few days, and that after I listed every single damn one last week for someone on the message board, which I did so that newbies could find them.. if they did a quick search it would be much easier for them and they'd not get a sucky response. It's almost to be that it happens, but yep, it gets annoying.IP: Logged |

Help seems like a perfectly good place to ask for help but maybe I'm missing something. The whole reason this sim is still alive has been user support! And I've been glad to be part of a community that was interested in helping new people get into and get the most out of this sim. I hope that positive spirit won't change. I might feel differently if some newbie repeatedly asked questions but most I see are asking one or two questions just trying to get their feet on the ground both in SDOE and with the way this board is configured. Frankly I've been amazed at the number of newbies coming into this sim thats been out for so long! Thats cool! Ronin IP: Logged |
