S! Aviators Pardon the advertisement.
For those of you interested in aviation art and WW1 items:
Perhaps some of you remember the Frank Ryder WWI Aero Museum in Lake Guntersville, Alabama and the marvelous collection of artifacts and repro-aircraft he collected before his death in 1994.
After several years of limbo, the museum and its contents are being sold off piece-meal. There are a few aircraft in varying states of
completion still to be sold (Sopwith Tripe, anyone?), and many hardware and collector's items (uniforms, helmets, instruments) still there, plus several vehicles. Also many drawings, documents, paintings and paraphernalia pertaining to WWI, in
addition to about 50 RC or large scale models. Those of you who attended
AERODROME '92 or '94 may remember some of these items.
As of now there is no inventory list, and the only way to discover what is available is to set up an appointment to go through the hangars and visually inspect everything.
Those interested may read an article about the museum at the Wings of Honor web site, and visit this site to view some of the contents at:

Meanwhile, those of you close by Alabama may wish to think of a trip to Lake Guntersville.
