F-86F Version Alpha v.2This is a small update that really is at best a refinment and funtion update.
Things added, fixed, refined:
1.) DanW's "very cool" offical release skin.
2.) Airbrakes.
3.) Added neuances such as : Pitot tube on outboard wingtip, Low-speed stall fences on mid wing, Sensor added to fusalage near the jet-exhaust.
4.) Add gear-door holes and fixed gear timings.
5.) Half fixed the shadow. It seems to work fine on some surfaces and not others.
6.) Corrected the spelling of "SABRE".
7.) Added Cannon loadout for the Aussie fellas.
8.) Added drop-tanks.
Installation:
- Extract to separate directory with your extractor set to include subdirectories (recurse) then copy the entire media directory into you Fighter Squadron Directory.
AIRBRAKES - Make sure the following line is in your keyboard.inp file under "primary flight controls", in your Fighter Squadron directory.
cmdDiveBrakesToggle = X (or what ever keypress or Joystick button you wish)
DROPTANKS - Make sure the following line is added to your Startup.ppf file.
"aircraft/weapons/86Tank.sm"
The tanks are offically seen by FS as bombs. This was done so the weight of tanks would affect the FM correctly and the AI would drop the tanks to engage. These are released just like one would loose their primary bomb ordinace. (enter by default)
The FM and FM work has proven to be far more daunting than I imagined. That said ... There have been some minor "enhancments" to both.
I would really appreciate some testing of the FM and the DM and some specific feedback.
NOTE The FM still exhibits the dreaded "tail-whip into a dead mans tailslide" ... This is a know FM bug that quite honestly has me puzzled.
DOWNLOAD
This is simply and update so it does not contain any mission or stuff like that if you haven't downloaded the initial release I suggest doing so and then copying the update over it.
