Bishop has just placed four versions of the Beaufighter in the Downloads Section - at Simfiles rather. They are awesome. Out of the blue. Just like that. Finished apart from tweaking. A glitch on the MkX, but brilliant nevertheless. I love this community.

The Mk.X problem has ben found. Open up the plane in OPS and click on the left engine cowl. Look down in the properties menu till you find a line that says obKillDelay 0.1 and delete it. Whala! Your engine doesnt explode and take the gear and prop with it any more.

Looks cool...
I tried to change my startup.ppf, but when I try to open it, it doesnt work...so I tried to open it in Word, changed it , saved it and now Fighter Squadron doesn't work.
Could somebody explain how to edit this file?
Thanks!

It's probably better to use wordpad or notepad to edit the file. Word probably converted it to a .doc file.

Make sure you save the file as a txt file (in the Save as dialog choose txt file type)with the proper extension:

startup.ppf

no, don't save it as a text file, if you do you'll have a file like this startup.ppf.txt and the thing just wont work, all you need to is save, other than that, choose save as "all files" the put the name in as startup.ppf

For some reason, my right engine keeps falling off as soon as the mission starts.
It happens on all the trianing missions. Whats up with that?
She looks sweet. Wish I could keep her in one piece.

Gunner, I assume this is with the Mk.X version. (its the only one I had the problem with) I have found the problem and told Bishop about it. Look up on this post to see the fix to that problem.
