Hey Argon, how come your screenshots come out looking nice!

Mine look like they were shot with a box brownie in a thunderstorm.....by a poor photographer.....

what do you do to them to get them looking something like the screen actually did?

Here's what I do:

I take the screen shot in SDOE at 800x600 Then, I have a scanner program that can convert just about any graphical file to another graphical file... So I open it up in there, up the brightness so you can actually see it on the message board without turning up your monitor brightness, and save it in JPG format (I forget with which compression) Then I upload it to tripod and post it here.

As to why they come out so good... I have no clue. I DONT scale it down (even if I did it would still look good 'cause Ive done it before) so that cant be the reason.

P.S. They look even better when not posted. (more sharp) This message board down-grades the image quality some when you post a screen shot.
