Yesterday night I and Lfbpro had a couple of online dogfights against various pilots. With our P-38's we felt we were able to beat anyone flying, say, Fw-190A8's.

Then we flew against Der Boom, Pye and Jetlag and someone else, all of them with 109K's. Guess what? We were shot down in flames in 5 seconds OK Pye and Jetlag are killers but the K really made it worse. Let's say usually it takes 8 seconds for Pye to shoot me down

I remember Closterman saying in The Great Show that the 109K was "equivalent to the Mustang, only lighter, and, if well flown, could defend itself against a Tempest". Well as a Tempest pilot he is certainly biased, but in SDOE the K seems so much superior to the P-51. I know plane vs. plane comparaisons are a touchy matter, but I'm curious what's your opinion about this?

On the other hand what do I know, one of my favourite allied aircraft is the Typhoon, fast down low, heavily armed and a very, very stable gun platform. Everybody complains if I select a mission with it in but I can still get kills

I'm not sure if the Me262 loadout is wrong or the Bf109k-4 is right but knowing MPosis's attention to detail I would suspect that his numbers are correct.
