Well, the planespacks go without saying....and the 1.5 patch....and the CD rom fix...

Then, if you like WW1, get the WW1 patch too

Then get the I16 and the PE2, and Nat's ground object pack.

If you feel like a real good dogfight, download nat's Midway terrain too. No airfields yet, but boy does it boost the framerates.

All that lot should keep you going.

It is all stable, has never caused me any problems, and will all come with easy to follow instructions to get it going.

There is plenty of otherr stuff out there, but it is not stable, erquires more fiddling to get going, and could give you more problems than fun!

Well, if you are going to plan on flying online, then all you need are Patch 1.5 - Plane Pack 5.3, and 5.3b - and Contest Pack 1.1. If you have the space, a second install may be best for the many new models and versions offline. And the WW1 Pack 1.0 if you wish to try the WW1 planes online.

May I suggest using Spyder's Hotlist 1.3, available at simfiles? It will link you to most of the latest and most wanted add ons..and is a small, stand alone utility. Also, his SDOE Control program is right handy for making those changes in the .ini files you may not want to edit yourself.

As was said, investigate all add ons carefully if you will be trying anything beyond the packs...anything will work, but some do require some tender loving tweaking...
