I just got this cool game from Jay bauls and I hope you guys give him a big pat on the back.

Now i can run this game in 3d primnary software, but not in the above. When I select 3dfx it just locks up on the game starting. I am limited to 800 x 600 so how do I stop the game from locking up in glide?

my specs: P2 300, 96 RAM, Voodoo 3 2000 16 RAM and 25 GB HD. Direct 7a and the laterst version of voodoo drivers 1.05.

I hope some one can help

Ive the same V3 as you. And I have also had probs with the 1.5 drivers. When I reverted to drivers 1.30 it ran fine.

My voodoo3 would rin for about a minute in 3dfx, then lock up. I only use D3D mow and it works fine. On a positive note, the voodoo3 D3D gave me the same frame rate and looked better! I am used to SDOE doing better in 3dfx...

I can only use the latest beta driver, the shipping drivers do NOT work on my system, the install fails. The system says it is installed fine, but I only get vga graphics...

I have the same video card, and I am working fine now that I downloaded the new 1.05.00 drivers and set them up this way.
In Voodoo3 AGP display properties 3Dfx Advanced Features: OpenGL/Glide, 3D Filter Quality=Automatic, Alpha blending=Sharper, Glide Splash screen=Disabled, Legacy Texture Compression=Enabled, Level of Detail bias=4, Limit Texture Memory=Limit Texture Memory to 2MB, (This Texture Memory to 2MB does not mean your only using 2MB. It is reserving 2MB of your 16 just for Textures.) Maximum Buffer Frames=2 Pending Buffers, Mip Map Dithering=Disabled, Triple Buffering=Disabled. under the the tab called Adapter I have the Refreash rate set to "Optional" This is waht I have the setting set for and I can play for hours in SDOE with out any video problems. now I do have CTD once and a while due to other problems not related to Video give this a try and if it does not work for you you can allways reload your boxed drivers. (after uninstalling your previos new drivers).

I had to reinstall DX7a after I installed the latest release drivers. Everything worked peachy after that.
