This is a very early screen capture. I've allready added the roads, Singapore city and even a few rice paddies. If anyone cimes across a picture of the island back in 1930-45 please send it to me. Keep a look out for more as things progress. http://users1.50megs.com/paintshed

looks good! this site has a picture of the british harbour from WW2, its just on the straight at the far side of your screenshot. Also theres a map of airbases at the time the japaneese invaded. Don't forget to include the causeway to malaysia, it was blown up in the early stages of the battle.

The site I posted in the last thread lists the british fort locations, and a plan of the southernmost fort.

This site has a period map with the battles labelled on it. You can click locations on the map to view the battles in VRML. Really slow loading.

Guys,
Thanks alot! Its coming along quicker than I thought now. Those sites help quite a bit! When this one is finished maybe I'll see the Huey and a few Phantoms roaming around, it makes a great coastal Vietnam map.

This has real potential. Jets playing korea/Vietnam

Jap planes, The Aussie Air Force,

There will be a lot of people waiting for this to hit the Download section.

p.s.

What news of Midway....I love the look of it, and the fact that the framerates are so damn good. I've made myself an Island airbase, a fake carrier, so I can land and take off. The AI wont though.....

Wakeup,
Midway is getting there...slowly but, surely. We need to figure out the addition of airfields to the map so the AI can also use it.
Here is a shot of the city and rice paddies. I'm still not sure if I'll add cities only because of the ugly muddiness down low. From about 1200 ft up this is what it looks like. http://users1.50megs.com/paintshed
